Golden Oreo Stuffed Cookies

Golden Chocolate Creme Oreo Stuffed Cookies

I call these, I just made Oreo brownies and I need something to do with the leftover Oreo cookies. The options were to eat the Oreos by themselves, bake more brownies, or make cookies. Since I had the time, I figured cookies would be the way to go.

Oreos honestly make everything better. They really are milks favorite cookie. They are also my cookie doughs favorite cookie.

The cookies stayed surprisingly soft even with the Oreo tucked inside. When baking these cookies, it is best to take them out before they have a overall brown color. They continue to cook while they cool. Since these cookies are so large with a already made cookie inside, under-baking them will lead to the softer cookie.

There's nothing like biting into a cookie and having a Golden Chocolate Creme Oreo staring back at you.

These cookies are HUGE. As is let me compare a normal chocolate chip cookie (on left) to one of these cookies (on right). As you can tell, the Oreo stuffed cookie has a couple of inches on the normal cookie.

Recipe:

1 C butter (softened)
1 C brown sugar
1/2 C granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 1/4 C flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 C mini chocolate chips
28 Oreos

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
1. Combine the butter and sugars
2. Add in the egg and vanilla
3. Mix the dry ingredients (baking soda, flour, salt) into the wet ingredients
4. Take a spoon full of dough and wrap it around a oreo. You may feel the need to use a lot of dough to completely cover the Oreo, this is not nessicary. The dough will spread and completely consume the Oreo in the oven.
5. Space two inches apart on the baking sheet.
6. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.
