Banana Chai Oatmeal Cookies
These were definitely a experiment. I had chai concentrate and I love having chai tea lattes and oatmeal in the morning so I though, why not combine the two?
They ended up being great. It is a super healthy cookie, so guilt free! The chai is a subtle taste, not overbearing. If you want a yummy, moist, and thick oatmeal cookie, try them out!
Recipe:
1 mashed banana
1 1/4 tablespoons of liquid chai concentrate
1/3 C whole wheat flour (or all-purpose)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 C + 1 tbsp Oatmeal
1/4 C chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
1. Combine mashed banana, sugar, and liquid chai
2. Add in the flour, baking soda, salt, and oatmeal
3. Fold in the chocolate chips
4. Drop by the tablespoonfuls onto a prepared baking sheet. Flatten the cookie with the back of a spoon. Bake for 8 minutes.
